Evidence is mounting that the Fusion Developer role is an important one indeed. If you are planning to extend/integrate existing applications (Oracle, Siebel, PeopleSoft, or otherwise) via JEE/ADF and SOA—or building brand new ones on the Oracle Fusion Middleware stack—then this is a role you will have to learn well.
Fortunately, the resources in this area are increasingly plentiful - spanning OTN Developer Day workshops, the Oracle Develop Conference, Fusion-focused developer centers on OTN (with more to come), and Oracle and non-Oracle bloggers. In short, the Fusion Developer Community is taking shape, so learn all you can and hit the ground running!
